No Man's Land Magazine—Editorial design, brand identity, art direction, and illustration at Pentagram for issues 1 and 2 of No Man's Land, a lifestyle publication from The Wing.

“No Man’s Land” is a new magazine published by the Wing, a network of co-working and community spaces for women. Myself and two other designers on Emily Oberman's Pentagram team were tasked with creating the publication from the ground up; building a cohesive system that could hold a diverse range of editorial content together while still feeling loose and improvisational.
Our team worked on both design and content for the publication; creating layout standards, designing a type system and grid, suggesting recurring features (like the centerfold and sticker-page), writing copy, and more. In addition to working within the group on editorial design and branding for the magazine, I personally designed the logo, hand-lettered article titles, art directed illustrators, sourced archival imagery, and created illustrations for several issue features.
